Gotland Textures

Every summer we visit my boyfriend’s parents in their house on Gotland, one of Sweden’s most beautiful places to travel to. They built it in 2010, and we’ve been coming here since 2018 (that’s when we met). Close to the house is a large beach, it spans over several kilometers, and it’s usually not very busy this time of year (most of the tourists go to other parts of the beach - luckily for us).

It’s been a bit windy, and the wind created these beautiful patterns and textures in the sand. I love photographing natural textures, wether it be sand, wood or rock. This island has the most beautiful natural textures, and ever since I first visited the island back in 2018 I’ve been photographing the rock formations and fossils (you can see that project here). But this year I’ve been focusing on other types of textures, but I’'ll make sure to photograph some more rocks as well :)
